Smartpac- Snail Mail That Isn't, Part 2 [ Annaxiu Reviews ]
I know, I said I would do this post last week, but better late than never, right?
Let's see how well Smartpac lived up to its claims!

Firstly, how convenient and secure is it?
Honestly, as a consumer reviewing this service, I can't tell how secure it is without an insight to their processes. But, also as a consumer, I can definitively say that it is convenient!
If you already have the Smartpac boxes or polymailers with you, all you have to do is pack your items and drop it off at the nearest post office or street posting box!
So, if you do mail things frequently, I'd suggest that you purchase some Smartpac boxes/polymailers (there's an ongoing promotion now!) to keep at home for emergencies, or your posting would have to be subjected to the opening hours and the queues at SingPost offices.

Secondly, it promises to deliver to the recipient in 2 to 3 days. Really?
SingPost has always been quite punctual, and out of all the items I sent and received over the past decade and a half, I believe only 2 or 3 went missing. That holds a pretty good record, imo!
For this particular Smartpac box that I'm reviewing, I dropped it into the posting box at the Tampines Post Office on 15 September, Saturday. It was safely delivered on 18 September, Tuesday.
So, even on a weekend, Smartpac manages to fulfil its promise of delivering within 3 days. Nice!
Thirdly, it provides tracking 24/7.
Ok this one was a no brainer to prove. I simply went to their website and entered the tracking number.
One thing to note is that you should really write down the tracking number of your Smartpac box/polymailer before you drop it off, if you intend to use the tracking feature. The tracking number is printed at the barcode of each packaging.
Thanks to the tracking number, I could track it 24/7 and know that it was delivered on 18 September (I wasn't home to receive it at the time).
Overall, it was a seamless experience. I just dropped it off, kicked back and relaxed.
The box arrived in good condition and was delivered right to the recipient's hands, as promised!
If no one is home to receive it, the parcel will be placed in your letterbox. If not, I'm sure SingPost will leave a note or contact the sender to make further arrangements, as that was how it was done for my posts in the past.
