**SCAM ALERT** InBeauty at AMK Central

Have you guys ever been cheated by a neighborhood beauty salon??? 

If so, we are on the same boat.

Will like to share one very nasty experience I had with InBeauty at amk central!!

A prelude to the incident first:

The following is the post which my sister wrote and I copied and paste on InBeauty's wall.

Hi

i would like to highlight the unpleasant encounter my sis and I had @ AMK outlet this afternoon.

My sis had signed up for a treading package and has not fully utilised the package. This afternoon, i actually took time to accompany her to have a treading session. 


Upon reaching there, we realised that her package has expired.

To our horror, I questioned Tiffany and Chanel, why wasn't any reminder call made to update my sis.

To my disgust, they said they did and showed us the record.

The so-called reminder call was made on 27th June 2012 (and for your info - package expires April 2013).

In fact, when my sis received the so-called reminder call on 27th June 2012, she took me for a treading session in July 2012.

And those 2 sessions were the latest ones my sis has utilised. There are 4 more sessions left in the package.

Effectively, you must agree that NO reminder call was made to highlight that the package was about to expire after July 2012.

Your staff has, effectively, 9 months (to April 2013) to make reminder calls to my sis. And NOTHING was done - they simpy cancel the rest of the package!

The episode has upset me as in this service-oriented society - no service what-so--ever was rendered to my sis by your staff.

To put it bluntly, your staff did not and is still not value-adding to your organisation. And this i feel should upset any CEO of any organisation should they know about their staffs' working attitudes and committment.

To share with you, the beauty salon along Orchard Road that I personally go to - will regularly call me to fix an appointment, should i be inactive for about a month.

This is what i call SERVICE.

To make matter worse, Tiffany kept insisting that of the 4 remaining sessions, 2 are actually free when my sis first signed up for the package. To us, the consumers, it seemed like Tiffany was trying to tell us that little loss was on our part, since "effectively" to her, only 2 sessions had been forfeited. And she continued to ask my sis to sign up for the $15 treading deal.

It is a joke!

I strongly feel that she has little understanding (with empathy) of what is going on and kept trying to sell us deals.

I think I have shared enough of this highly unpleasant episode.

I will be looking forward to a satisfactory reply.

Well, I copied and paste the whole entire passage on In Beauty wall! It was posted on 29 June 2013. One week later, they replied me saying that they will look into this matter BUT nowm its Jan 2014 and NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME AT ALL!!!

Apparently, let me briefly describe what happened that day. I have this face threading package with InBeauty cus I was sorta conned into signing a package cus they gave me student price. If i din remember wrongly, its $12 bucks per session and if you buy 10 sessions at one go, they gave u 2 free sessions. So i signed up for 10 sessions cus I read online that face threading is indeed good for skin and I have troubled skin then.

So on and off I went for the sessions. Quite hard to meet their timing cus they close ard 9pm. Im working as a project engineer, which means I have to work till about 8pm everyday and my weekends are burnt too. Thus I dun go frequently but if I have the time, I will try to go for it.

So that day Im free, and brought my sister along to do face threading since I have package there. Upon reaching the shop, I gave them my name and they told me that they cannot find my card. I was like, not possible. So they went to search again and came back with my card, telling me that my package has expired and there was still 4 sessions left. So i asked if I can do 2 sessions today and the rest I can just forsake it. FYI, I am lying down on the chair with my fringe pinned up and leg covered with towel, ready for the session.

Instead, the reply I received was. "NO YOU CANT AS YOUR PACKAGE HAS ALREADY EXPIRED. IF YOU WANNA DO FACE THREADING TODAY, YOU HAVE TO PAY OR SIGN UP FOR A NEW PACKAGE. EVEN IF YOU DO SIGN UP FOR A NEW PACKAGE, THE EXPIRED SESSIONS CANNOT BE BROUGHT OVER TO THE NEW ONE." and yes, i actually translated it into english cus it was said by a CHINA lady.

My sis was so pissed off that she asked to talk to the manager, and they insist that the manager wasnt on duty that day, she asked for a feedback form and all we got was a piece of blank paper. we asked for an avenue to feedback and they just tell us to go to their website. WHAT KINDA SERVICE IS THIS????

So I have no other choice but to post on their facebook. and just as i expected, after they replied me stating that they will get back to me, I couldnt find that post anymore. Well done, InBeauty, 
YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FABULOUS.

Each package has a expiry date of 2 years and its common that we will not remember when is the expiry date. wad madden me was. I went on 29 Jun 2013, they told me they called me on 27 Jun 2012 to ask me to go back for treatment (which I did) and no news from them after that. I was like telling them, actually u could have called me somewhere near the expiry date to inform me. their reply? Yes we did, we called you on 27 Jun 12. See, its written here. HELLO~ its 9 months before the expiry date. can you predict wad is gg to happen 9 mths later? skarly In-beauty already busted by that time already!

Personally I feel that they could have called me 1 mth before my expiry date so that I could utilise all. I brought up this point and they said they did call, they call on 27 Jun 2012 when my package is expiring in April 2013. ISIT A KINDA JOKE???

So i just took off the towel and left the place without doing any threading cus they insisted us to pay. they even ask me to resign the package if i think its good. c'mon, after receiving this kinda shit service, do you think i will sign up for the package again??? 

Service of the staff at In-Beauty: -10/10 (Yes, negative 10)

in short, please do not enter this scam place dear readers, if you happen to chance upon this post of is considering if you should sign a package with them. cus they do hard sell there too. like whenever u do face threading, they will psycho you to do a mask for $38 bucks or some ear candle detox or nasal detox stuff. $38 is for first trial only, after you did it, they will further psycho you to sign for the package which cost a BOMB, like seriously a bomb.

Lesson Learnt: the services and sales lady at In-Beauty is totally not up to any standard. But you are still free to patronise the shop at your own RISK.
